Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the private label market having first worked for 8 years in the frozen vegetable market before founding Freiberger UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Freiberger Lebensmittel GmbH & Co. Over 22 years he built the company to be the major supplier of private label frozen pizzas in the UK and ROI markets. With extensive experience in all aspects of building a business from the ground up covering sales, marketing, logistics, category planning, NPD, finance, technical support combined with building a UK office structure he can bring first-hand experience across many disciplines.
He was a Non-Executive for 13 years with sister company Stateside Foods who operate in the UK chilled pizza market.
Richard is the acting CEO of the British Frozen Food Federation (The BFFF). This trade body for frozen food aims to promote the interests of the industry, covering both retail and food service. He also is the Chairman of the Pizza and Pasta Association (PAPA).
Richard speaks German and is native English.
