Tony de Bock
Tony had a long and successful career of 33 years with the Colruyt Group, developing experience in many retail disciplines covering purchasing, sales, marketing, category management and sustainability.
Under his direction as Director of Product Promotion, 10 individual Private Label brands were successfully brought together as one brand. He was responsible for all aspects of this massive project. In addition to this in 2001 he created and launched the successful Bio-Planet concept.
As a senior member of the Management team at Colruyt Tony also focused on improving the operational performance across the business which bought him a deep understanding and knowledge of the Belgium retail market. He specialised in the categories of fresh (meat, charcuterie, diary and vegetarian), frozen and organic.
Tony was also involved with the European buying group Coopernic (now called Core) on behalf of Colruyt; working in co-operation with other large European retail partners such as Conad, Coop Switzerland , Leclerc and REWE.
Since his departure from Colruyt in 2016, Tony has been active as an advisor for various SMEs, including working for PrimaMundo, a major importer and exporter in the fresh produce market, as COO.
He is a native Dutch speaker and also speaks French and English.
